Photos from our 2005 trip to Miami |
Our hotel, the
Fontainebleau Hilton at Miami Beach, from the pool area.
The pool area.
The Main Lobby of the hotel.
The beach & Atlantic Ocean outside our hotel.
I believe this is the Loew's resort at Miami Beach.
This is what a Palm Tree looks like when you're sitting under
it wondering what that bird had for lunch.
Some of the houses on Star Island. Hard to take pictures while driving.
Various shots of the Art Deco architecture in South Beach.
Us in the hotel lobby (Sarah's trying to hide her prego belly).
Me outside a lighthouse at the southern edge of Key Biscayne.
Inside the lighthouse.
Stiltsville, from the top of the
lighthouse. The park ranger described it to us as:
"Used to be 20 houses, ocean has gradually taken most of them, they even had
their own
grocery store out there. Now you can rent them out for parties and stuff.
They're owned
by the federal government." I say, owned by the government and you can
rent them out
for parties? "Yep."
From the lighthouse.

The path to the lighthouse.
How did we go to a lighthouse and have 0 pictures of the lighthouse?
The scoreboard at the Miami Heat game. Game featured this contraption, "DJ
Irie" spinning
records, and Mizzou's own Keyon Dooling.
Keyon Dooling (with ball) and Shaq (top of the key).
