Memorial Tree
Last fall the Child Development Center (the pre-school Adelaide & Jack have each attended) planted a memorial tree in honor of Sarah. In a cool coincidental tie in, the tree was purchased with proceeds from their annual school photo sales. They installed the plaque a month or so ago, but it’s been cold, snowy, dark, and cold and snowy, so was just able to take a photo today. The colorful Arbor in the background was built by Sarah a few years ago for their playground.
Also, for any that might not have seen yet, I asked Joey Los, a Missouri sculptor that sells her art at Bluestem Missouri Crafts, to make a floral piece for the top of Sarah’s memorial stone. She delivered that in mid-December and I was able to install it easily on one of the rare warm days. Photos of the floral sculpture are below. Hello My name is Dann Freeman [Nickname is Bear] I live in Cincinnati Ohio and don’t know Jason and his family,however I read this site at times and I came to know of the family through ACOR a Carcinoid Cancer site which I am on and off on occasion. One of my friends on site drew me to the family when Sarah was in NOLA having her surgery and Jason was blogging …I was and to this day am terribly sorry for your loss,I think this is fine tribute to Sarah .I hope your days are warmer in thoughts and memories of your dear wife and mother of the little ones..
I just wanted to share that I know it must be so hard for you to carry on without her..I have been fighting Carcinoid Since 1997 and God has blessed me with yet another day of life.
My prayers and good thoughts are with you and your family .
